Hey, did you have any success with the new adapter? I have a new, unrooted Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (SM-N950U1) with the same issue. And aparently it was not the adapters fault as I tested it on another phone and it worked like a charm, so is a Samsung N8 issue. Thanks for any info!
