Post Wait for Note 9 or just purchase the Note 8 ?
My thinking is the Note 9 is mostly a lateral upgrade. Slightly larger battery, possibly offset by a slightly faster/thirstier(?) processor, a bit more ram (pointless?). Otherwise the same,. Thanks for a great ROM, phone is awesome now! I'm in northern Sweden, and the missing 4G band for Telia turns out to be a complete non-issue. Got eternally stuck on the white HTC logo here as well. Sadly, nothing in this thread or the Q&A thread helped. Gave up after several attempts and went for LiquidSmooth 4.4.4 just to try that instead, which runs great. Maybe I'll try again later. Would love this ol' piece of... nostalgia... to...- dpanter

Would love to have my phone naked but it's simply not practical or durable. A TPU shell saves the bacon so many times, there is no option. I like my phones to at least have a decent chance to survive accidents. Totally hate flip covers though. -

Funny story: My nephew hated his old HTC Desire, but instead of throwing it away, he gave it to me. It's now happily running LiquidSmooth 4.4.4 and works fine. Never say die! ^_^
