I went ahead and it seems to have worked. Only problem was it defaulted to Korean language which was interesting!!

Have found another tool to root it. It then recommend installing TWRP. My question is, if I do this, will LG's Lollipop update still come down automatically (assuming there is such an update).

The problem is that it is NOT rooted, despite what StumpRoot says. Titanium says it is not rooted, and I'm sure I'd remember if it was rooted... SuperSU won't install. I can download the ap but when I run it, it fails to install itself.
