This is an issue that happens on multiple devices. Happened to me on some of my older phones. I always found that it was much more effective to store the rom .zip file on your internal storage rather than your SD card.

Well from the other post I am assuming that you aren't using a T-Mobile Note 2? That worries me a little bit and that may be why you have a black screen. I would love to have you as a tester but I need to make sure that your phone is able to flash my ROMs correctly.
