If your contact is offline they wont get messages. In all other scenarios, they do receive your messages.

I think there was an ATT RUU but now those links don't work and guys are trying to get that RUU up again. Football can hopefully have something for us, but haven't seen him around much. I *think* Eternity RUU might work, but I could be wrong.

If you flashed SPL 2.6 from HTC site, it should ideally show up as a SPL 2.6 when you enter the SPL mode. If it didn't show 2.6, then even when you get HSPL, it wouldn't have fixed the issue.
