No it's not rooted after following these instructions. You can revert back to stock anytime by installing the appropriate image. If you bought the device with an unlocked bootloader you should keep it unlocked I guess.

I wouldn't say it's necessary, but it won't hurt either. Just don't wipe the vendor or persistent partitions. If you accidentally wiped them, reflash the stock ROM, this will bring them back. Then wipe dalvik, cache, system, data only and reflash Havoc OS. ---------- Post added at 07:01 AM...

I had a similar issue when trying to flash TWRP and I fixed it by using an external USB 2.0 hub. For whatever reason, the flash process would always fail when the device was connected directly via USB 3.0. Unfortunately my computer only has USB 3.0 ports.

I would to the following: - Go to TWRP, go to "Wipe" - Format - Go to "Advanced Wipe", select everything, wipe everything - Download the original stock ROM: http://en.miui.com/thread-3661957-1-1.html - Install the stock ROM and boot it, see if everything works - Go back to TWRP, flash...

Which firmware do you mean? I don't think this has any relevance in the process. This ROM works for both models.

Very good and performant ROM! Pixel Launcher kept crashing but I just excluded it from OpenGapps and use Lawnchair now. Very good customization options also. Very very happy with the overall experience.

    1) Get ADB and Fastboot: https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools 2) Enable developer options and USB Debugging on the Mi Pad 4 (plug the device into your computer) 3) Run a command prompt window (assuming you're running Windows) from the path where you extracted the platform...

Post [DISCONTINUED][ROM][UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 16.0 for Mi Pad 4/Mi Pad 4 plus

Hi there, just leaving a note to mention that the latest build runs very nicely on my Mi Pad 4 Plus which arrived today. Didn't observe any issues until now. Is there a reason the thread is not in the ROM section? I tried a few other ROMs until I found this thread here. Cheers! PS: FP also...

Maybe try exFAT or NTFS. Almost all devices should be able to read those file systems.

    Post [Q&A] [GAPPS][2015-06-01] Open GApps for Android 5.1, 5.0, 4.4

You can create a gapps-config.txt and place it in the same path where the GApps package is located. Then fill the file with apps you don't want to install (default is exclude mode). Example content: Drive Docs Earth (this would exclude Google Drive, Google Docs and Google Earth from the...

    Post [Q&A] [GAPPS][2015-06-01] Open GApps for Android 5.1, 5.0, 4.4

Hi, I've performed a clean installation of CM 12.1 and Open GApps on my Nexus 5 today and recognized that "Ok Google" from Androids' home screen is not working. It's turned on in Google settings though. Can you help out?
