I flashed this kernel here: Gabriel-MIUI-CPU8940-INTELLI-GCC-v9.0-20181027 btw: kernel version is shown as 3.18.124 It works good sofar and has very low battery drain. Great ! Thanks a lot. :)

I am on MIUI nougat ROM 7.1.2 ("xiaomi.eu_multi_HM4X_8.11.8_v10-7.1.zip"). Can I flash this kernel with normal TWRP 3.2.3 and without root ?

Is the standard TWRP such a "treble" recovery ? Can you please give a concrete installation infos about it on first post ?
