My problem is that I have a grandfathered plan that every time I've spoken to Loyalty dept, they've basically told me to stick with my plan and buy a phone outright. That it'll be cheaper in the long run. To get what I currently have, would be 30$ more /mth. @ 2yrs, that's 720$! So not worth...

Tough to justify 50$ less on 1 year old technology (700$ for the 32G M8 vs 750$ for the 32G S6). Biggest advantage is the expandable SD slot that the S6 is missing. But still 700$ for year-old equipment sounds like pure theft to me...

Thx. That's what I ended up doing. Using the same dpi as Slim (182) and seems to be ok. Other than the phone being way past due. Just waiting for the S6 to show up. A a little miffed tho... I have to buy off contract (full price). So I spoke to telus and they still sell you the phone...

I don't know if anyone s still following this thread but here goes none the less. :) I've finally got around to reflashing my phone (after 2 years) with CM11. My first reaction was the DPI. So far runs smoothlyish but te DPI is huge compared to hat I had its cm10. My problem is that I can't...

Not bad! I didn't actually think you could get that much for it even. After 4 yrs, the phone is so slow and unresponsive that it is truly become a dinosaur. As awesome as it was when it came out, newer apps/graphics/etc just require so much extra juice that the 1G single core proc just can't...

Yeah - my mistake. A quick search yesterday popped up a Lollipop ROM for a T959, but wasn't the T959D (i9000), but rather a newer one. Really??? There is actually a market for something like a T959D? As a media device or other? How much can you possibly get for it? As sad as it sounds...

Has anyone tried Lollipop on the T959D? If so, how does it respond? Which ROM / Kernel did you use? Thanks! Eric

Still on my t959 as we'll. although I have to say it is getting old and slow. Still running JB on it but have the feeling I should upgrade it to kitkat. Just don't want to bother with reflashing and reinstalling etc. Have looked several times for something to replace it , but everything is...

Thanks, but mine has a cracked corner as well. I was hoping to try to use the phone without a sleeve but with a broken back, kinda difficult. :) Will see if ebay has anything inexpensive that I can try instead. Tx again! Eric

Ok - so I finally reflashed CM10.1. First impressions: Holy cow big DPI! Forgot how accustomed to the SB DPI I've become. Waiting for it to finish d/l;ing all my apps from Google Play to reboot. But my other first impression is that it is not particularly snappy either. One of the issues I...

I tried BLN a while back and found it sucked up battery life. Was kinda of suprised considering they were just LEDs. Do you not find that it sucks up a bit of battery life? What is LMK? Are you no longer using Nova as your launcher? Tx, Eric

Thanks for the offer. What does 'not great' mean? Scratched or broken? Or purple and pink with liquid paper spots all over them? :)

Hey .. does anybody by any chance have a spare back cover (ie: the battery cover) for the T959D? Mine has a nasty crack in it, but I'd like to make the phone survive a little bit longer before I throw in the towel for a new one. Thanks! Eric

Ditto for me. I'm leaning towards the S4 vs the One. Although Telus did have a 100$ off last week for a trade in on any phone towards the One. I was very tempted, but just couldn't pull the trigger. Coincidentally, my last 4 phones have all been Samsungs, except for a Motorola I picked up as...

Thread [Q] Anybody have a spare back cover for a T959?

I've got a Canadian Fascinate T959D (same form factor as the Vibrant T959) but the back cover is broken. I'm looking for a replacement cover (the rest of the phone works fine). Does anybody have a spare? It is also compatible with an GI9000, if anyone has one of those instead. Thanks! Eric
