Why not using the latest one? Works very good with the 8704f

I installed that version. My tablet (8704F) runs very smooth. I only have two problems (so far ;): 1) Huge battery drain (>>10% within 12 hours waiting in standby, even in extreme power save mode) 2) Often the tablet doesn't connect to my saved WIFI network, even though I see it in the network...

I solved the problem: I installed lineageos and Gapps (as described here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=82921395&postcount=524). Everything works smooth and I am able to update the Prime Video App, even to a beta version. :)

Are you able to update the Amazon Prime Video App so you get a newer version with profiles?

Found a DeviceSoftwareOTA.apk which works. But: I already checked for updates a lot of times and several system apps were updated. No new updates are found anymore. And my Prime Video app hasn't changed. I need the profiles function included in the newer versions. It seems I can't get it :(

Thank you! I renamed the os number. But I do not have "DeviceSoftwareOTA.apk" in '/system/priv-app. There is only a directory named "DeviceSoftwareOTAContracts" Where can I get the right version? Wasn't included in the firmware of this thread. And: Does the apk need to be copied to...

Thank you! I need the ability to have profiles within Prime Video and that's not possible with the version included here. So far I found no posibility to replace the installed version of Prime Video with a working newer apk. Neither with ADB nor with Titanium Backup Pro.

After following the instructions: are updates of systems apps oder of the Fire OS "allowed" without losing root?
