So the status now is that if we neglect the IMEI change, the method works. But a qcn that works without changing IMEI is the missing part?

where in Asia? each carrier usually uses different frequencies as allowed by local laws. in the spec page of the OnePlus3 you can see the frequencies supported by the US version. if you specify where you are from we can help localize the carrier support for your region.

will editing the build.prop open up the locked LTE bands? or will it just allow me to force LTE on the currently available LTE bands for my device region? more specifically, will this enable LTE band 3 even though the OP3 is the US version? if so, i am willing to play along and if i get good...

thanks for the reply. i am actually currently living in Israel (so Verizon are quite far away :) ) the local networks all have LTE on band 3 (1800) which is not supported on my OP3. i did manage to get 3g without doing anything, and following your bootloop comment, i will probably wait until...

i join in! bought the phone while on vacation in the US. where i live, LTE mainly uses band 3 (1800) which is not supported by the US version. only thought about it after i was home :(
