    It happened here in Australia mid afternoon. I have gone Skype (and bought their number) to get voice calls and for texts I have set up Mysms on my hotspot phone and the mysms mirror app on my Note 7. A pain to carry a 2nd phone but it will do until I sort the IMEI

    We are having the same thing happen in Australia on the 15th. I am going to go the hotspot route (run a VOIP app and use another phone to hotspot from) ... until I can be bothered to spend the time to circumvent the blocked IMEI. So does anyone have a favourite VOIP app that also transfers...

    I am in the same boat but with Optus. Pretty annoyed that Samsung would bother with this type of thing at this point in time. Anyone who has bothered to block the 60% battery OTA is obviously savvy enough to weigh up the pros and cons with the device and is more than happy to keep it. I read...

    Australia set to block Note 7 on Dec 15 .... just read on Gizmodo Australia that we are coping the same block to the Note 7 as New Zealand. http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2016/12/samsung-is-cutting-the-note7-off-australian-networks/ ... so given they will probably block via IMEI ... who knows how...

We seemed to have survived the Australia OTA update but managed to get 6.3 on one Note then downloaded a 6.3 for the other via the drive link from andoxviii ... but...

    Still very happy with mine and will update when something better comes along. Australia is getting the OTA update on 6 November apparently so hoping I have disabled the right packages disabled - should be good. A bigger worry is if the ISPs start getting narky and blocking EMEI or cancelling...

    Did you have a later version previously installed? There are instructions on Page 4 of this thread. I had 6.3 and was able to get to the packages required before the update. I was a bit late in downloading for my wife's Note so used the link here (thanks for that mate btw) and seemed to work...
