Post [Q]Root Explorer Multiple Permissions how to?

Actually Total Commander still does not do it. Change a main directory to a specific user and hit recursively, nothing happens down the directory tree. It is only to change the date recursively.

    Post [KERNEL][PERMISSIVE]Galaxy Tab S3 - SM-T820/T825 permissive kernel

Here is my other question, I have a brand new TAB S3, not opened yet. How should I proceed with rooting it? Do I power it on, fill out the registration info etc., then take all updates from Samsung and afterwards root it? Or root it right away without doing an initial power up & update...

    Post [KERNEL][PERMISSIVE]Galaxy Tab S3 - SM-T820/T825 permissive kernel

Oh great! What is the drawback if not using a permisive kernel? I know it was required for SM-T810 the S2... Will this affect for example, the apps2sd not mounting at boot? I remember vaguely that this was an issue with automount if using apps2sd or similar apps without a permisive kernel...

    Post [KERNEL][PERMISSIVE]Galaxy Tab S3 - SM-T820/T825 permissive kernel

So this wifi issue.... does it occur if you simply root the device? I just bought a SM-820 to replace my SM-810 running 5.1..1 .

    Post [RECOVERY] TWRP 3.1.0-1 - SM-T710/715/810/815 - update 13/3/2017

Fantastic work! Thank you! Can you add "backup internal storage" option and the capability to extract individual apps and data from backups straight from twrp interface.? When testing roms it is important to be able to switch storage on the fly without contamination of my daily internal...

Post Apps2SD All in one tool[2.3+]: Partition SD card and Move/Link Apps to SD card [ROOT]

Yes, after link2sd made those changes, you should add that capability to apps2sd. I still use apps2sd its nicer and can move obb wity the rest of the files at same time, unlike link2sd. Now I need to find out why the non permissive stock kernel provokes a soft reboot requirement at boot. Funny...

Post [Q] Disabling MobiCore daemon from kernel init.rc

The mcRegistry dir is tied into the fingerprint reader. That mobicore seems to use it, loading those .bin files. service mobicore /system/bin/mcDriverDaemon -r /system/app/FFFFFFFF000000000000000000000001.drbin -r /system/app/mcRegistry/ffffffffd0000000000000000000000a.tlbin -r...

Post Apps2SD All in one tool[2.3+]: Partition SD card and Move/Link Apps to SD card [ROOT]

Yep that seems to be it. Installed Link2SD and it offered to fix sdcardfs via fuse and sdcard file replacement. Any drawbacks to that? Does app2sd have the capability to fix that also automatically? How would we fix that manually for example? I want to learn. What would you recommend if we...

Post Apps2SD All in one tool[2.3+]: Partition SD card and Move/Link Apps to SD card [ROOT]

Ok, I solved the soft boot issue, it was due to the way the device was rooted. Via twrp with SuperSU zip directly v2.65, no go.(no seandroid warning) I fixed by reinstalling and rooting with permisive kernel then cf-autoroot and no more soft reboot. (KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING) However...

Post Apps2SD All in one tool[2.3+]: Partition SD card and Move/Link Apps to SD card [ROOT]

I had Apps2sd pro working perfectly on 5.1.1 Canadian 2015 image, I reinstalled a more recent 2016 US 5.1.1 Lollipop image(fresh start) and SuperSU 2.65 zip via twrp. Now for the life of me I cannot get apps2sd to work anymore. Everything links OK , except the obb is not present(empty) in...

    Post [STABLE][2016.07.05] SuperSU v2.76 [CLOSED]

2.65 on 6.0.1 Can someone tell me, is it normal that I cannot install SuperSU v2.65 on Galaxy TAB S2 T810 OS 6.0.1 via TWRP? It installs ok, no errors but su binary is not found. Now if I install the 2.72 beta it works fine. I want to use 2.65 not the beta. Can someone confirm if this is...

Post Root for ZTE Spro 2 and unlocking 200 lumens in battery mode

Nope, if for only one reason, so we can fix that system process that kills the cpu and battery throwing the whole peojector out of spec. Half cpu speed, draining battery etc. Not what was promised on the specs.
