If you have the full firmware (update.zip) there should be an update.app inside that Huawei Update Extractor v0.9.9.5 should be able to open. Inside should be a "RECOVERY.img" Just tested it with VKY-L29C432B125 that i had on my laptop

So... coming from stock. Install TWRP. Magisk. FlashFire (root required) backup data partition, restore data partition, then a complete backup using TWRP should work? Guess there's only one way to find out :)

Thanks! Maybe I'll give it a go again then :) I didn't know it was Magisk Hide causing the issue when it happened back then I was planning on waiting for TWRP to work fully and able to backup /data as well... Makes a great "undo" solution :) Side question... Is it possible to diaable...
