So this phone has been out for a while now, right. I just got one. Glad there's an active community. There are so many ROMs here. I wish I had time to test them all, but I don't. Are there any that have risen to the top? Are any considered the best, in terms of functionality and reliability...

is hboot 1.29 supposed to display the firmware version number at the top of the screen? Mine does not.

I used the PG58DIAG method successfully with hboot 1.29 No problems at all.

I used the instructions here to upgrade to my firmware. When I check with the "fastboot getvar version-main" command, it says I now have 3.33.401.106. But when I go to Android software information , it says Software number is 3.32.666.53. Why isn't it showing my new firmware?

I think I've got it figure out now.

This phone seems to be very picky about chargers. Some will only charge when the phone is powered off, and some not at all. What is going on?? Chargers that work: - Computer USB port - Car stereo USB port - HTC Will charge if I power off the phone: Blackberry (500mA) Sony digital camera...

Thanks for the answers. Yes that was the difference. My computer runs 32-bit. The one that worked was 64-bit. I will try putting Twister on a 2GB SD card. The class number is not marked, so I hope it will be fast enough.

Some questions about Twister ... Instructions are for phones with 2GB or 8GB. I think my phone says it has 16GB of internal memory. Should I do anything differently? Also, does Twister overwrite Windows? What do I do if something goes wrong, or I want to put Windows back on?

Fixed. It worked on my friend's computer. No idea why.

I tried all the CM6NEW image tools: v4, v3, v2, v1 ... they all do the same thing. I also tried all the versions of IFW I could find.
