OK I found out I can go into twrp by doing --set-active=a then rebooting into recovery, and I can also go into edl for 10-15 seconds by doing adb reboot edl from twrp. However when I use msmtool it says connected but when I do start is says smt config not found.

That gives me an error fastboot: usage: unknown command flashboot

I hold down both the volume buttons and plug it in and nothing pops up on device manager. The phone does show up as android bootloader interface when I put it in fastboot though. It's plugged in with the oem data sync/charge cable.
