Hey guys, I just installed my pumpkin 8.0 today. Replaced and older kitkat unit that was running the last Mal rom released for that unit. It runs perfectly except for the white noise I get regardless of what app I'm using.... This is noise with the vehicle running or not. It's not engine noise...

I didn't think of this for the short term pit stop boot up delay. We already have that solved with the software mod that allows you to keep the Hu powered for 2 hours. For me this would be for the overnight/work shut down.

Yes totally, I've wanted to do this, just not sure if I want always on and manual turn on/off, or the wait... So as usual I do nothing lol. Great write up though! Cheers!!

Nice, I thought about this a while back. Quick question, when you turn your vehicle off, the radio stays on? You have to manually turn it off right?

Is there any chance that a Lollipop 5.1.1 rom will be developed for the RK3066? Will it even run on the older HUs? TIA

Sorry typo. What i meant to say is that i plugged the hub into my house 120 volts AC using the provided ac/dc adapter, so as not to cut the wire from the provided adapter until i saw everything working. But the HU does not recognize any thumb drives that are plugged into the hub.

Cut the cord so the ac/dc adapter is no longer used? Then simply tap into the cars 12 volt system and good to go?

Powered directly from the car battery, not switched power? I'm guessing the drain when the car is turned off is negligible? Also what did you use for the 12 volt power cord. I'm assuming this unit is powered by a 110 volt power cord?
