I had the same issue with nexus 7 I discovered that my system partition was full, so adding things like supersu, busybox or other things without debloating the rom, resulted in a /system partition that exceed the max size for my device. Solution for me was then debloating the device!

superR If you extract kitchen's zip in a folder with spaces in it's name (e.g: xxx yyy)... then superr script won't work!

I have a Nexus 7 2013..when i use adb partition detection from your kitchen the resulting zip rom occupies few Mb... No luck with the others detection methods too
