yeah this is what i did, I do adb pull to view my build.prop and it is edited, i launched shell and done the chmod 644 still no dice, device still showing as 6P

The volume works like there is a difference between max and low but low doesn't really go low enough. Maybe just need to tweak how many db it lowers per each increment or ad more increments in.

Bands are hardware related but you need the firmware to tell the hardware what to do hence why a patch for the D6653 would enable those bands as firmware is part of the ROM. If you have a D6653 you can't use the other bands unless you have firmware to enable them. Someone can correct me but...

You don't need the D6653 patch unless your provider uses LTE bands 28 or 40. LTE reception is bad in my area anyway so I leave it disabled to save battery.
