First 5X had S/N starting with 510 (means build date Oct 2015) had extrem yellow tint, I returned it after a few days. I was allowed to test some other phones in the store and models with newer build date eg S/N starting 511 were much less yellowish.

Run the script as root and you should be fine, tested with Linux Mint 17.2. Not sure if it makes a difference, I made it executable with chmod +x and run as root from my home directory instead of using sh.
