Is it worth installing the new ROM? I have installed V6.0 and works great, how about V6.1?

If I want to know whether my device is locked or not I must flash a custom recovery in order to see what happens, what if it is locked? It wouldn't boot, right? In that case, Can I restore to factory with Kies? (I have check it and it does recognise my device and says it can flash a backup rom...

I just bought this phone, it's telcel (Mexico) branded and I can confirm it's Bootloader locked, the rooting process was piece of cake, now we'll just have to wait for the unlocking method, just wanted to point out this in case someone else have this phone from the very same operator.
