    I am was also facing the same issue with OTA. I finally managed to update my rooted, locked phone via USB method using Motorola Software Updater. Root is lost after the update.

    if I am not missing something, can't you just insert a simcard of a different network and find out if its unlocked or not

    Slower? My stock gingerbread runs so much better than Froyo. Infact even the Live Wallpapers have no effect on home screen scrolling.     Post Possible Sim Unlock without buying a code?!?

    I did try calling AT&T. I bought the phone paying full price and I have a corporate connection with AT&T. Even then, they refused to give me the code saying its a brand new device and unlock code cannot be given for next 2 years! Cellunlock did it for me in 4 days . LOL.

    I agree with mysticdrew. I have decided to wait for a week or two till we get the official update to 2.3.4. I will unlock only once CM is available for atrix.

    Oh, I did not experience lag whatsoever. I then tried the Grass wallpaper and again no Lag. I am using ADW Ex as launcher. Only issue, watchdog throws up alert on LWP when it uses more than 20% CPU..
