It might not be helpful but I know that I couldnt boot stock android so I thought oh let me lock then unlock and it should clear everything out and might fix this. I then found out I couldnt reunlock the bootloader. TWRP was stuck in the bootloop I described - I cant recall exactly but either...- geologic

I actually ran into that too... I did fastboot format cache and fastboot format userdata. For whatever reason I was then able to get into TWRP. If I recall correctly... Ive been working on this all day. The TeamWin Logo would show up... then the screen would go black... then it would show up...- geologic

as I understood it he had relocked the device with a nonstock recovery and a non working OS installed. He couldnt reunlock the bootloader without being able to boot. Am I misunderstanding?- geologic

Fixedddddd I found a fix for this after I half bricked my nexus 6 earlier. 1) Use TWRP or whatever other non stock recovery you have installed to install a third party ROM like Chroma 2) Enable developer options, turn on enable oem unlock 3) reboot to bootload and fastboot oem unlock...- geologic
