Anyway to get this rom as a tar file so I can use Odin to install. My unit is messed up in that I cannot get into recovery. It will only go into download mode.

I did have that enabled. I'll try to re install and see if it gets corrected.

Just flashed your rom. I like it. Two issues I've encountered. Fingerprint reader doesn't work. Also WiFi doesn't re connect automatically. Any solutions for these?

Well after hours of no progress, I plugged it into my pc once more. For some unknown reason my pc recongnized it as an android phone and I was able to connect via fastboot. I erased everything as noted above and installed the latest blob I could find. It was then able to boot into that rom. Yae...

I have had 2.2.2.1 on my Kindle for quite a while. I downloaded 2.3.3.1 and put it in the recovery directory. Went through the menu '3' and it finished and rebooted into 2.3.3.1. However when I then reboot the device and go back into recovery again, it is 2.2.2.1. Not sure how this can happen...
