... But they're a packed file, then, right? Every pack file can be unpacked and repacked. LG probably uses the same pack file and method for all their phones, yeah?

Anything we can do to help with rooting this 27c or 29c kids file ? I just got a g4 vs986 27c, and am still reading up about it... What is the kdz, like our version of a .img file that most other Androids use? Can't we just unpack the file, change permissions and settings then repack it & flash...
