With most phones, you could theoretically just change the glass panel. It's much cheaper than chaging the whole display unit, but practically much harder to do. Most repair shops will only offer a display change.

I can't get into recovery mode on my new LG G Flex 2. I've tried holding Volume Down + Power till the Logo appears, then releasing and holding again which just resets or shuts off the phone after a few more seconds, I've tried holding Volume Down + Power till Logo, then holding both Volume keys...

Can someone please give us an overview of all the ****ing models? Wikipedia only lists 5 or 6 of them and there seem to be lots more.... I bought a German 2nd Gen Moto G with LTE and I have no idea what model it is, it arrives tomorrow and I'd like to do some root preperations beforehand which...

So there's a Dual-SIM LTE version as well now, XT1079? I'm so torn between XT1072 and XT1068. XT1072 would give me LTE and a bigger battery, but XT1068 is much more supported from what I've seen. Is there even an unlock and root guide for the XT1072 or would I have to wait? Thanks in advance!

I hate MTP. On top of all the other issues with this **** protocol it seems to not display folders/files you've created or maybe even only modified until I reboot my Moto G. Plugging out and in again doesn't work. Is this a common bug/trait with MTP or is something wrong on my end?

No idea if this works, but the file is under /cache. Not on your internal memory, but in the actual /root directory of your phone. You'll need a Root explorer to find and delete the file. Good luck!

That's what I want to know as well. XDA has all these devs and freaks and advanced tutorials but nothing at all for the most simple and popular issues for the average user such as applying an OTA with a rooted device. Apparently it's supposed to work with Phil's Flash Recovery, well it didn't...
