Post Xperia Tablet Z still worth buying???

Why not just stick with stock? I've tried many custom ROMs during my "flashaholic" days - but have always ended up back at stock because : most of the custom ROMs have issues some apps won't work if your tablet is rooted Still enjoying my Tablet Z after 4 years of ownership :good: I can't...

    Post [ROM] [7.1.2] CyanogenMod/LineageOS 14.1 [POLLUX/POLLUX_WINDY][UNOFFICIAL]

This kind of reply just makes my want to scream. It's like saying "These tyres are great on all cars (but only Diesels)" or "This app works great on all smartphones (iOS only)". How can you say "all firmwares" then qualify it by saying "pollux"

Post Moto X Style Official Nougat Update delayed till May.

I bought this phone 15 months ago for 4 main reasons : Larger secreen than my previous phone stereo front-facing speakers design low price During that time it hasn't given me any problems and has done everything I wanted from it. So, OK, it hasn't got the very latest Android "upgrade", but if...

Post Hows your Moto X holding up?

I've been thinking of moving to The Dark Side (Apple). But honestly, in 2016 and for a heck of a lot of money, iPhone 7 has no wireless charging and I don't think you'll find it "Fast" when it comes to charging it by wire... (no fast charge :( ) Have a read of this before you buy.

Post Hows your Moto X holding up?

Much the same experience for me. Very happy with the phone for the price (I paid UK £300 in December 2015). Still amazed at the sound quality from the speakers. Fast charging too. I also had the horizontal lines problem about a month ago - thought the phone had died but a reboot solved it. Has...

Post Will Moto X style/pure get Android N update?

Interesting, but that's CM. I think people on this thread are wanting stock.

Post XT1572 Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 with March security update available OTA in Pol (EU)

Got this ^ update today (UK , 17th June 2016). Still 6.0, but better than nothing - I had given up hope of any more updates. So maybe 6.0.1 by Christmas?

Post Moto X Pure Edition (XT1575) and Android 6.0.1.......

Not all 1572s have had the update. I'm in the UK with a ret (retail - no carrier) model and still no update :crying: Feeling quite let down.

Post XT1572 Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 with March security update available OTA in Pol (EU)

Exactly. I've been in flash re-hab for 5 months. Come on Lenovo, don't let me turn back to being a flashoholic  It's May already - where's our 6.0.1?

Post XT1572 Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 with March security update available OTA in Pol (EU)

Yes - very annoying. I've had my Moto for 5 months now and so far (unlike with all my previous smartphones) I've resisted using a custom ROM. ...but this wait for 6.0.1 is pissing me off to the extent I'm thinking of unlocking the bootloader and installing some other ROM. Come on...

Post What do you do to clean the speakers?

I use a small soft-bristled artist's paint brush and just lightly brush over the speaker slots while gently blowing on them. I wouldn't go blasting compressed air at them - may do some damage?

Post What are the benefits of rooting this device?

When you look at the pros (other replies above) and cons (have to unlock bootloader, so you void your warranty), I'm no longer convinced there is a great deal of benefit in rooting the phone. In the last 5 years this is my 4th android phone and it's the 1st one I haven't bothered to root. I...

Post Bluetooth in car - calls drop immediately

Have you checked if Mazda have issued a software update ? I know the car is a 2016 model, but often the factory loaded software is already out-of-date. I bought a new BMW in 2014, and there was already a bluetooth software update available on the BMW website, adding compatibility for a lot more...
