That doesn't sound like a Widevine problem, are you rooting with Magisk?

I have the L1 update. I haven't tested whether Netflix works on a non OOS ROM however

Yeah, the app not working seems to have been a problem since the OOS update to 8.1. A logcat shows that it's an error with the Widevine code.

Is anyone else having a -9 error on Netflix after getting the Widevine update? btw the phone is rooted with Magisk on OB7, 4.0.5 doesn't seem to have this issue

I understand the way to do it, but considering you have to manually change about 10 entries there must be some way to automate it.
