I did have the same problem when I was running a custom Rom. No idea why this happened. Backed up my phone, factory reset and flashed another rom. The problem is gone now.

Well, I updated to lollipop without any problem. After this I installed the philzrecovery. This asked me to root after I left this recovery. I said yes. Rebooted and wanted to check if it was rooted ( it wasn't). It said the SU binary needed to be updated. After this I flashed an older version...

Somehow it doesn't seem to work.

Has anyone been able to root this?

I don't have a Dev edition and my phone is 3.28.401.9 So that might be the problem here. I'll see what I'll do. Thanks for the help!

I was also looking to root mine and looked at this topic 2 weeks ago. Tried some rooting programs but nothing worked. Thought I look at this topic again and YES! I'm rooted thanks to Kingo ROOT. First try without any problem.
