This is so strange, well since I posted the last post with the attached image I have just gone and opened Android Pay again and its loaded into it fine.... :S very confusing.

I'm on clockworkmod recovery and I get Installation aborted as soon as I select the .zip to flash so not quite sure on how to get around this

I'm using Kaos Droid 5.1.5 and I can confirm that this also didn't work for me. Wouldn't get past boot on a custom ROM so yeah as the poster originally said it works on stock ROM but a custom ROM it does not! But I nice post non-the-less.
