    Post Aaaaaannnnnnnndddddd.............Data outage, 3/13/12

Actually, VZW's outages are pretty unique and likely caused by unique issues from combining 3GPP and 3GPP2 networks. To the best of my knowledge, most all other pure 3GPP LTE roll outs are completely outage free. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA

    Post NFC Copy key tag

If cards are that simple to clone, doesn't that kind of defeat their purpose? I would have thought there'd be some sort of copy protection that would at least make the cloning difficult.

    Post AT&T Throttled me @ 2GB

It's an interesting idea. What are the data rates when you're throttled? Maybe everyone who gets throttled should simply turn on streaming music 24/7 in protest. Also, for those who were throttled, are you still in contract?

Post Open letter to Google and all Android OEM´s

This has more or less been my experience too. Plus, you get the options the dev chose. Some you like and some you don't. You probably won't. The reason being that the majority of people don't even know those options could exist. What most people really want (need even) is simplicity. Put a...

Post Mail service (exchange) draining battery?

I am connected to two different Exchange accounts, one 2007 server and one 2010 server. Both set to automatic push. Battery life has been excellent with this phone and getting better. Yesterday, with several phone calls, emails, etc. I clocked in at 1 day 7 hours before I hit the 14% warning...

Post Galaxy Nexus 4G LTE for Sprint, Official!

Sprint has five LTE towers in Kankakee, Illinois. That's probably all they could afford for now!

Post So, I made my first NFC payment today...

Security. Your credit card is an archaic tool rife with vulnerabilities. Chip based payment systems are arguably more secure.

Post I think my Nexus is broken :(

Interesting... Seen this twice now... Totally stock, not even rooted. Was typing a text message. Froze up and then screen slowly started to morph into this funky image. Battery pulled, rebooted and all is good again. I've barely ever touched the music player so far.

Post And this is why I hate the Nexus camera

I've noticed the GN is more susceptible to a bad white balance than some other phone cameras. I am often pulling images into Photoshop to simply re-white balance them.

Post Need peoples help to prove GPS HW or SW issue?

Sounds like a warm start. A cold start is likely to take longer. So a brand new GN with data turned off might take longer to get it's first GPS fix.

Post And this is why I hate the Nexus camera

At 1/3000th, your gain (ISO) is going to be jacked up even in broad daylight. This is like going 40MPH in 1st gear. You might be able to do it but it's not much fun. I see tons of gain noise in that image. The sky is crawling with it. Fortunately, that would appear to be a software problem.

Post LTE vs HSPA+ Pros and Cons ?

Good paper. Thanks for linking to that. The lack of knowledge is shocking. Agreed. However, I am not fully convinced on how similar LTE and HSPA+ are. They do have a lot in common obviously but really they're only close when HSPA+ is truly and fully evolved to an all IP core. And even then...

Post Need peoples help to prove GPS HW or SW issue?

Here's a general rule: Don't turn off the A-GPS unless you want it to take a long time to get the initial fix. Pretty simple. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App

Post LTE vs HSPA+ Pros and Cons ?

You mean besides the last 4 major outages which is pretty unprecedented for VZW. They have a very serious flaw in the IMS core that keeps rearing its ugly head and no one knows how to fix it yet. Heads are rolling at Nokia Siemens. You can expect some more funky teething issues with VZW LTE.

    Post Sprint, ATT and Verizon

Sprint WiMax runs at 2.5GHz which is really really crappy spectrum. There's plenty of capacity per MHz but it attenuates really quickly and has terrible in-building penetration. Verizon's 700MHz LTE spectrum attenuates much more slowly and penetrates walls much better. To cover the same area...
