Does anyone know if this update will work on T-Mobile branded Streak 7?

To be honest, having used both, the answer is neither. The Atrix is the real choice, in my opinion.

Emailapp routinely stops synching my Exchange account and needs a forced refresh to being synching again. I get about 10 emails or so over night normally, I'll wake up and occaissionally see that I have no email. Once I force a refresh on the account it'll start synching again. Annoying...

I was running the leaked 2.2 and I flashed to official 2.2. My battery life is almost double what it was. I can't complain one bit about battery life, although I have other gripes with the official Froyo release.

They know... I remind them daily on their Facebook status updates.

I'm thinking of rolling back as well. Mainly because I could never get the market fixed with the leaked 2.2. There's a ton of apps I have to side load from my wifes Captivate and it's getting tiresome. Plus my battery life is atrocious with leaked 2.2.

Probably not that many, but the jump from 4.0 to 5.0 is huge. I could probably get away with using a Streak simply because I don't put the phone to my face to talk on it much at all. That would be the only reason the Streak would annoy me.

Got my wife one on this deal too. I keep her's running stock 2.1 rooted, gives me device to use to get to the market when my 2.2 Cappy can't find an app.

Yup, in fact I see it now listed for free with a new contract.

wow, this is one of the funniest "tech" threads I've ever read. It's so funny, it's actually sad. Sad like this is exactly what all the developers where I work are like: none of them have any concept of even the most fundamental and simple basics of networking, like loopback.

Is it Samsung that hasn't release Froyo or the carriers who haven't released it?
