First of all, remove the quote of the first post from your reply. Second, R1/R1 Plus firmware are not missing, they just don't exist on Sony's public servers.

I'm not able to reproduce that... what specific firmware? Also try disabling your anti-virus, it might be interfering.

Nothing interesting to see there, basically CDAs have been phased out, they are no longer used starting with Xperia 5 II. So had to refactor a significant portion of the code to adapt, it's already in a working state. Will see if I can get OTA updates compatible with the new structure, then test...

Why wouldn't it unpack? Did you disable automatic unpacking in settings? Like I said, I don't know what you can flash and what you cannot. You can merge them manually if you know what you're doing.

No idea. I don't know much about Xperia flashing anymore. As for the update.xml, it's automatically merged to one update.xml by XperiFirm when unpacking.
