I just want to say thanks for this ROM. It's been a bit of battle making this device feel like it's still the flagship device that it was intended to be before Google promptly took it out back and shot it, and this ROM goes a long way toward restoring a lot of that lustre.

So I installed Caffeinate and just let it sit and it was still flickering over an hour later, so just "letting it settle" was not a solution. This however, was a solution. Checking the Disable HW Overlay flag in the developer options stopped it completely, so this is the real culprit.

If you're running CM, then the theme engine is built into the ROM. It's under Settings>Themes. Just select the theme from the theme chooser there after you've installed the .apk.
