Thread Trading in S3 after warranty bit set?

Here's my situation: My warranty bit was set back in the days of 4.3 but when I took the 4.4.2 update (As you know the flag is gone from the download screen) and my system status says Official. I am thinking of trading in my phone for an upgrade if I can get them to. (Or just buying a phone...

Post If we are serious about unlocking the bootloader

While JTAG isn't the most user friendly can it be used? I thought I heard someone say that JTAG will no longer work to overwrite the bootloader. Sent from my SCH-I535 using XDA Free mobile app

I just had something interesting happen to me yesterday. I'm on 4.4.2 Rooted and Youtube wouldn't connect to any videos and Netflix would stutter every 5-6 seconds. When I booted my phone I had the custom lock which was not there since I've upgraded to 4.4.2 and rooted. In the...

Post If we are serious about unlocking the bootloader

The Bugs\Exploits they are showing have already been patched. As of right now there is no known bug\exploit for the S3 4.3 to 4.4.2. So we just have to wait to see if someone comes up with one. Until then the bootloader is locked.

I also installed the Verizon USB Driver that showed up when your phone is in install mode. I was also on windows 7 and went under Start->Devices and Printers and made sure the modem showed up. It's labeled 8 thousand something I believe. Here's the files from the phone when it's in install...

I had the same issue. I used the Verizon repair app and let it install 4.4.2. I too was stuck on the firmware error screen. Another problem I had was my sub was faulty so I had to have it half in and half out of the port for it to work. Sent from my SCH-I535 using XDA Free mobile app
