Well the pictures were done with capacitive stylus as the devekoper was building on such a device and the majority of tablets being used at the moment are capacitive and no digitizer pen (xoom, galaxy tab, acer etc). If he doesn't have the hardware you'd like, it'll be kind of difficult for him...
