For drawing on Note 10.1 2014 edition, I recommend Artflow studio. I get no lag whatsoever using that.

My SM-P605 is not carrier branded (I live in Europe) and Samsung still has not released Kitkat for it. Can I berate Samsung?

Yes, that is Samsung for you. It feels very annoying but the feeling is soon forgotten after the update is finally released (at least that's the way it went with the old Note). I am also eagerly waiting for Kitkat for my SM-P605.. As it is now, there really is no alternative for Note 2014...

Has anyone asked Samsung and got any answers regarding the question in the topic? They already released Kitkat update in some regions for Wifi models, but no word of LTE model update anywhere.. Samsung's way of providing updates to their products is very annoying to say the least.

Typical Samsung to just keep people waiting.. What is taking so long with these updates?

Check this link: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/PenTile_matrix_family As you can see, Note 10.1 2014 edition is pentile. You can also see this when looking at the screen. Transitions between some colors are a bit blurry.

Don't get me wrong, I like the screen a lot. But it is not perfect. I think the pentile design shows when certain colors are next to each other (producing less than perfect transition from one color to another).

I am getting this with my Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. I wonder what causes this. It makes Android feel unpolished.

Thank you for the tip, SmartQ reader indeed seems fast! I must have tried like ten different readers with not very good results so far. SmartQ reader seems to handle my pdf's fine. Also importing about 400 pdf files was no problem for this reader (Mantano and Aldiko readers had a lot of trouble...

I now used Mantano some more and it completely locks up my tablet when trying to import about 400 pdf files from the sdcard (hard boot required). Also when reading certain pdf files the application takes ages to load new pages (ezpdf is faster with some magazines, while Mantano is a lot faster...

I just tried Mantano reader and it really is fast. Thank you for the tip! I do have to say that the price is a bit steep for a reader app.

I am sorry but Adobe reader is not fast. Adobe reader in my first generation iPad is faster than Adobe reader in Note 10.1 2014 edition. I have tried to look but haven't found fast enough pdf reader for Note 10.1 2014 edition yet, unfortunately. That is one of the biggest flaws in the new Note...

I have that case too and the tablet (SM-P605) fits it just fine. Just use a little force and it will snap into place? Build quality seems okay too for the price. The only problem is that the magnets are so strong that the case is unusable with them (so I had to take them out).

I just got my cover today and the magnets really are much too strong, causing wavy lines with the digitizer and also making the tablet shut down the display in wrong situations. I fixed it by taking the magnets out with a knife. Doesn't look the prettiest, but I managed to make it look quite...
