Post Note to our fantastic devs... Dates!!!

What's stupid is how everyone assumes only America uses MM-DD-YYYY. Personally, I grew up reading dates as Month XX, Year (ex, April 05, 2012) When disregarding the year, we've always understand the format mm/dd (ex, 02/14 = February 14) Now, assuming the "standard" way was DD/MM, translating...

Post GTA III on the S2

Newest update adds support for SGS2. I can confirm it no longer freezes. The tradeoff it seems is that they synched the draw() with the update(), so instead of screen freezes, you get little lag hiccups where it would usually freeze. It's not buttery smooth, but it's more playable than before...

Post [Q] GPS in next sammy gen? will agps be needed still?

As reference, my SGS1 had terrible GPS. If I had no data and I wasn't using wireless networks to help pinpoint my location, the GPS sat would never find me. In comparison, my SGS2 can usually get a lock on me within 30 seconds without data/wifi on and no assitance from wireless networks. It...

Post [Telus T959D Fascinate] - Successfully running DarkyROM 10.3, CWR, Voodoo and More!!

I converted from Launcher Pro to Go Launcher Ex. I feel it has about the same customizability along with comparable widgets. As for the battery, I never did get to 100%, but I felt that was just the ROM reporting the actual % rather than fooling me with a 100% number when it doesn't really...

Post [Telus T959D Fascinate] - Successfully running DarkyROM 10.3, CWR, Voodoo and More!!

When talking about battery life, I find it better to take into account the battery usage of "Display" and how long it's been on. Unless you have some apps that keep the phone in wake lock (BLN, weather widgets, etc) or eat battery like crazy (CPU intensive apps), the majority of the battery...

    Post [Q] [Telus T959D Fascinate] KG2 unlock

I havent lost my sim unlock via the Galaxy S unlock from various flashes on my T959D. Unlocked on a custom rom, odin flashed back to stock froyo to CWM flash CM7, odin flashed back to custom rom. I gave my mom the phone since I upgraded to the SGS2, but the T959D now uses her Bell sim just...

Post [Telus T959D Fascinate] - Successfully running DarkyROM 10.3, CWR, Voodoo and More!!

    1. Haptic feedback is lost on the home button. I think this is mostly a kernel issue. Unfortunately, I haven't heard of a fix for it. It was hardly a deal breaker for me though, and you do get it back if you ever flash back to stock. 2. You can change your theme by installing pre-made...

Post [Q] Any cons to not converting voodoo?

Are you referring to the voodoo lagfix? No, there's no cons to not using it. I find my phone actually works better with it off.

Post [Q] Black screen of death, no download mode, grey battery.

Making another thread on the wrong section with the same question should discourage people to help you. Furthermore, people already gave you answers in the previous thread Have you tried the above? Odin messed up a flash for me once and got soft bricked like yours, but I was able to get back...

    Post SGS2 Canadian Thread (Bell/Virgin/Sasktel/Rogers) Root/Unlock/Firmware/Modems/Mods

Because the hardware specs of the phone is so good, you're gonna get most of that already by upgrading to the latest stock rom. I'm currently running stock XXKI3 with CF-Kernel for root. I get excellent battery life and great performance. GPS locks within seconds without the need for wireless...

Post [Q] Man, I am so lost. A little direction please?

download a new launcher, either go launcer ex or launcher pro plus. that should get rid of the stuttering (i'm assuming she meant stuttering from navigating the home screen and such) do the typical things to reduce battery usage -turn off wifi -turn off data when not being used -lower...
