The problem is an issue with microphone permissions from another app that is still running in the background. For me it seems that Facebook messenger seems to disable my microphone entirely. Any video recorded with my camera has no audio. Snapchat no audio, can't use speakerphone during a call...

I wasn't very pleased with the camera. The quality is just fine but more megapixels doesn't always mean a better picture. Low light always seems to render images or videos with a red or orange hue. Any zooming and the pictures get way too noisey. In the right light I've taken some great shots...
