Post [GUIDE] Genymotion | Installing ARM Translation and GApps[Updated Nov.16]

I have been using Genymotion for over a year as an app player with information from this thread serving as a basis for the VM setup. Recently, the app that I was primarily using this setup for recently updated and has since stopped working. I've tracked down the issue to what I think is an...

Post [GUIDE] Nexus 7 (2012) factory image w/root

This is just a matter of how you unzipped the CF-auto-root zip file. On my system, it unzipped with 2 directories: image and tools. I added a note for Windows users to verify the path to the img file... Hopefully that clears things up.

Did you flash or boot it? Sounds like you might have flashed it. Under normal circumstances, flash is the right answer for most bootloader installs, but in this case, you just want to boot the auto-root not save it permanently via flash. Might not be your issue, just a thought.

The latest CWM recovery should work just fine. I linked to the CyanogenMod wiki install guide that has the link and instructions on how to install the recovery.

Added a link to the KRT16S factory image which contains a proper bootloader-grouper-4.23.img file that you could use.

Yes, unfortunately it does. I wouldn't recommend trying to upgrade without wiping user data. There may be internal changes to the file system and layout that could make a Kit Kat install (4.4.X) incompatible with this. Best to save off your data and start from scratch.

Post [GUIDE] Nexus 7 (2012) factory image w/root

:good: :good::good: I made a mistake on the version number that I listed in my instructions. When I did my N7, I had originally just tried flashing SuperSU via the standard zip file method. The most recent version of SuperSU available in the SuperSU XDA thread is/was 2.19, so I just...

added Not sure about on Windows, but on Linux when I unzipped the root zip file, there was a directory layout as such... cf-auto-root/ cf-auto-root/image/ cf-auto-root/image/CF-Auto-Root-grouper-nakasi-nexus7.img cf-auto-root/root-linux.sh cf-auto-root/root-mac.sh...

Thread [GUIDE] Nexus 7 (2012) factory image w/root

I know a couple people asked for a guide and I didn't see anything concise had been posted (Mods feel free to remove if it's a duplicate.). Things are still a bit fresh, but this should be a short list of steps to perform the upgrade of your Nexus 7 (2012) WiFi to Lollipop. As with other...

    Post [BETA][2017.10.01] SuperSU v2.82 SR5

FWIW, using CF-Auto-Root fixed my kernel issue and I'm able to use root now. Just download from the cf-auto-root website.

That worked like a champ - thanks! No need really to run the script as I'd already done the oem unlock, but booted that kernel and root works now. Thanks!

Honestly, if I didn't care about root, I'd be happy as a clam with this build. Works very well. The issue is the increased security from SELinux in the kernel of 5.0 that's causing an issue with installing root.

    Post [BETA][2017.10.01] SuperSU v2.82 SR5

There's 40+ pages of posts here. Can you give me a little bit of a hint? I saw the Google+ post from CF listing the kernels for various devices, but that was only Nexus 5, 2013 Nexus 7 (razor) and ADT-1 for LPX13D. The device I have is the 2012 Nexus 7 (nagasaki) and I just noticed that the...
