    Can you try the 2.3.7 version and see if it works? instead of directly going to 4.0.4

    Where is the fastboot.exe located in your PC? Are the .img files placed in the same location as fastboot.exe? If not, please copy the files there and retry.

    I think If you remove the battery and see , you will find your exact model# - I9020A or I9020T. According to that you can download the appropriate images from google server

    If you don't want it, don't do it... It is possible that some folders like whatsapp etc. remain behind, but they are totally harmless.

    OK, I'm confused now :o As I understand, flashing the .img WILL wipe out the apps & data. However, I have flashed the CM9 nightlies zip multiple times without loosing the data. Here we are dealing with a stock zip, so I am not sure. You can try the zip method after taking a nandroid backup.
