On my Galaxy S 1 (GT-i9000) with less than 512MB ram, Marshmallow works ok if you disable multitasking and don't install google services. For further speed boosts I use apps from F-Droid as these tend to be more lightweight, and the old version of Opera Mini for browsing.

Any chance you can add this kernel patch? It's not a huge issue but it will be quite useful if you can add it :) It provides the ability to use the phone as a USB input device on a PC, which is good for those who do a lot of tech support.

You can use the longer method, or if you want the short method then use Boot Camp.

According to Mozilla's site, the SoC in this phone is one of the few they are officially supporting in Firefox OS. Perhaps the instructions for one of the low end Firefox handsets will also work for this phone?

I've installed it and it runs on my unrooted KitKat device. Focus works, as well as viewing the front facing camera. When I try to change settings, switch modes (e.g. to video), or take a picture, it force closes though. I hope this feedback helps in fixing some of the issues..
