    Post [ROM] MaximusHD | 3.4.0 | Android 8.0.0. | Fast&Stable | APM | OTA | 2.33.401.19

If I update firmware to Oreo firmware, will it be possible to downgrade firmware later? Im worried that s-off wont work on Oreo firmware and that the upgrade is a one way street.

    Post HTC U11 updates thread

Cant se it mentioned anywhere. Always on Alexa/google/whatever but no always on screen. I would not like that. The backlight lights up way to much, esp in a dark room, for it to be usefull even with rly low light level. ---------- Post added at 08:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:45 PM...

    Post HTC U11 updates thread

Always on display for htc u11? Keep dreaming. It has a LCD, so that would mean the entire LCD has to light up, and then you can say god bye battery life.

    Post relock bootloader

I managed to get back to RELOCKED, to do it I had to reflash 6.0 firmware as 7.0 firmware does not let you turn on OEM unlocking when allready unlocked the bootloader, and the lock command does not work if the OEM unlocking is "on" (but it was off, weird). I flashed 6.0 and relocked and...

Post HTC U11: Can I do S-Off/S-On on demand?

Yeah s-off is only needed if you want to change base firmware (radio, bootloader etc). Most usefull for downgrading the firmware. Also S-off lets you reset the phone to LOCKED without the RELOCKED normal htcdev unlock allows for.

    Thread relock bootloader

Due to increased issues with triggering safety net i wish to go back to locked (or relocked, same deal really). Im S-OFF Unlocked now and the fastboot oem lock command gives me a error: (bootloader) [KillSwitch] : /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/frp (bootloader) [KillSwitch] Last Byte is 0X00...

Post HTC U11 Disassembly Teardown Video

Im impressed by how clean the device is inside, unlike previous devices (10, m8 etc) that all was a PITA to tear down with ribbons going through the mainboard etc.

    Post HTC and Security Updates

this just sounds anectodal. One device getting a update is no guarantee the rest of the devices will get it. Frankly, all OEM's are as bad. Sometimes they are better, sometimes not. My 10 still has Jan patch and android 7.0. Not that i think u there is anything wrong with the current software...

Post HTC Camera - is there 16:9 mode for photos? 4:3 only?

16:9 is just 4:3 cropped so there is no reason why you should photograph in anything but 4:3 and then crop, to keep all the information. Selectin 16:9 mode removes a big chunk of the information from the sensor. Sure it fills the screen, but that in itself is a poor reason.

Post A2017G B11 OTA Update released

Is 7.1.1 even offical? For me it feels like beta firmware (it has lots of buggs and is not stable, not like 6.0.1) and the fact i never got it OTA and had to update manually makes me more certain of this.

Post Bugfix, RAW and Appdrawer Update A2017G

Want a stable device? Use the software they came with (6.0). buggy software is not unique for ZTE and tbh, the 7.1.1 update is BETA for G devices anyway. Officialy my device is on 6.0.1 with B6. And it's stable and has all the features i bought the phone for. People buy budget devices and get...

    Post Quick Charge 3.0 cable

Are you sure about that mA? USB type A ports and cables are not validated for more then 2.4A. Thats 12W max for legacy connectors. QC3 circumvent this by going higher voltage, up to 9V generaly but at most 2.2A. Giving you around 18W with the Axon 7. This i have verified by having a in-line...

Post A2017G B11 OTA Update released

I would like to have the B11 update. Im from sweden and the device came with B6, and B10 was never offered over the air - updated manualy with zip to B10. I'm not getting B11 over the air either. Im using the "over the air" instead of OTA to stop people from confusing concepts here. Something...
