it doesnt recquired root... just go on to settings tap your build number for a few times to activate the developer options then click Change Runtime System choose ART... for the mean time it will be laggy then after a few minutes it will work smoothly... Post ART runtime
I switch to ART now and i never encountered your problems... after that it reboots then optimized 349 apps on my device then it boots. after that it became laggy i tried playing need for speed for the first time it freezes i close the app and waited for a period of time and try again after that...- johnfranz29
