Tried this. Was really surprised to see it did not help. It may be better with plasti-dip backing during a light sweat workout but running in 80+ temps and high humidity, I lost GPS signal. Think this is the last straw for me -> Sony Refund.
Can we get some input from a Mod on this? I Read through the thread and didn't see a mod post a response to this at all.
Obviously there is a high amount of interest in having a "Developer Edition" (not to be confused with developer discussion) section. There has always been some confusion...
I've been running the de-unified 9/25 nightly. I've noticed if I try to update to the latest nightly from the CM updater, the CM Updater seems to be pointing back to the wrong nightly files. The way I found this out is I've been downloading the nightlies, then attempting to autoflash via the...
cam30era little confused... you mention flashing the holder hltevzw version, "from early June".
From the download link at goo.im https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/hltevzw/
I see two versions 6.08.9 and 6.12.8 however both have dates of June 24th. Is it safe to say you mean...
Awesome, thanks posting the link to that. Was never able to get GPS working on any CM nightly I had so hopefully this takes care of that and data drops are no longer an issue.
Using CM auto update and TWRP to the nightly builds killed me over the weekend. Phone would not get a connection at all. Had to restore to a backup. Anytime I tried to flash using the automated method, it hosed my connection again.
As Cam30era suggested, I'm assuming this is b/c TWRP doesn't...
No wipe going to M7 and that would explain it. I was running fine with the 4.4.3 nightlies but going back to 4.4.2 without doing a wipe I'm sure is the cause.
Thanks.
Flashed the snapshot from 06/09 and am getting all sorts of exchange error messages now. The dialer is also blowing up when you start typing in the search box at all. Had been updating to each nightly build and rolled back to 06/08. No problems back on that build.
I've been seeing the same for as long as I've been on CM11. I tried NC2 originally but went back and am currently running MJE. Same as you describe.
I did see "frequent data connection dropout" as a fix listed here...
Thanks - at least I know it's not just me.
If anyone else is experiencing this would love to hear what if anything they've tried and what they're running. would be nice to see if this is just related to running a KK based rom and if I'd be better off switching to JB.
I've done some searching and haven't found many details so figured I'd ask if anyone else is experiencing the same or has info I don't.
Currently running CM11 and MJE on my DE. I frequently drop my data connection - several times a day. I end up having to toggle airplane mode on/off to force...
Running CM11 and MJE on a Dev Edition. Multiple times a day I notice my data completely drops out and I have to toggle data off/on to get a connection again. Is this a known issue at all with CM/Radio combination or with a dev edition? Have searched but haven't found much of anything related...
They probably identified the problem during early stages but decided that GPS wasn't a primary function that they wanted to design around. Like their official message states "this product is not a professional GPS device"
So rather than change the design and affect the look and feel of the...
That makes complete sense. Asus would rather release a statement saying their design is at fault rather than put the blame on the chip manufacturer and their "shoddy driver". Clearly Asus is lying and the aluminum back isn't to blame. Asus would much rather tarnish their image then God forbid...
