    Post [How-To] Update to I537_OC7 - 5.0.1 and KeepRoot

Hello! I've got used phone with stock OC6 OTA updated. I have a few questions: 1) is it possible to root it from the current state (via downgrade or any other way, I don't care about knox or full wipe) 2) it has only few languages and lacks my native, is there a fix like more locale or similar?

Post [Q] NFC Card Emulation Question Thread

I've seen some post here xda that some users even with old SGS2 (nfc edition) use it to open doors and pay for transport. And claim is was android 2.3.x. And now we are waiting for HCE, probably backported to 4.1-4.3. I don't undertand at all...

Then, until we have such app we can't be sure if entropy really goes to 0. Ever.

Post [APK] Seeder 2.0.0 entropy generator to provide significant lag reduction

this is useless app. it just shows what everybody could see from /dev... I would like to find the app that monitors entropy in background and logs 0 or lowest values.

Second that - is there a tool to monitor generator depletion. When it happens and how often, before rooting and appyling this patch/apk?

Post [GUIDE] How to extract, create or edit android adb backups

This is exactly how I did it! I can send you the file it is very small, so you can examine it too. If you don't mind. Rooting android x86 in vmware is not that simple. I still can't figure out why the root script from xda doesn't work for me.

Doesn't work. At least 7zip says it is not correct tar file.

If you mean helium data backup - are you sure about it that there is only header and nothing else there?

Post [GUIDE] How to extract, create or edit android adb backups

Impossible. There are lot of apps and games for my kid. It is better for me to forget about fifa 14 than to ruin my child's tablet. Anyway thanks for suggestion, I'm thinking about android x86 virtual machine for that purpose, I have just to make sure that titanium backup works in it.

Post [GUIDE] How to extract, create or edit android adb backups

I have either to convert with some tools or to edit backups. Coz on the old phone helium doesn't work coz it requires 4.x, and the old phone 2.3.x So I have to use either ultimate backup or titanium backup - both use root. New phone, on the other hand, is 4.x, but no root, so I can't use...
