Thanks, it looks like you're right. I managed to find an old battery for the phone and swapped it in, and the battery temperature and charging are normal now.

It may be that we have seen the last update for obake. I came to this ROM late and I wonder if anyone could at least point me to (or create) a link to an earlier build with the LED notification?

Does anyone know which part contains the battery thermostat on the Droid Mini (XT1030), assuming that is the cause of the phone no longer charging due to the battery reading a temperature of -40F? Won't charge when powered off either.

Funny you mention it, but I did use this method recently and am now having trouble sending SMS. However my SMS sending trouble is only on 4G/LTE (even though voice and data are fine on LTE). I assume it's an issue with my former Verizon XT1030 being used on another network.

Finally tried it and it worked: the 4-21 variant of this method successfully rooted my XT1030 with the 4-21 build. Sunshine now says compatible and ready for unlock. I'm happy.
