I can confirm this process has worked for me so far on my old Nexus 5 running a rooted LineageOS 14.1 with an unlocked bootloader, though I had a little snag uninstalling the previous updates for Google Play services. It wouldn't actually come out, so I had to just use ADB and install/replace it...

I just picked up a cheap XT926 from eBay to play with, and it appears to be stuck in a boot loop. After reading about that condition and some other threads, I've also made my own factory cable, which seems to work fine and does allow me to get into the built in recovery system with V+/-/power...

I just experienced the same issue with my Nook Touch, but the problem has gone away since I just did a factory restore and rerooted it with TouchNooter. That's a drastic solution, but the previous post would probably do the trick too since the restore I did technically did the process that was...
