Well, it's not so much as skipping as completely ignoring all updates until a new one is worth the hassle of unrooting, flasing and rerooting again. It seems we'll never get Oreo anyways so what I'm running on is probably the last version I'll use until it dies :/

I did before posting, but it's not a very known phone so it makes finding precise info quite hard. Even Ulefone's site fails to have it, which doesn't surprise me since they don't even have the decency to communicate on Oreo update cancellation... Thanks anyways

What are the changes from 35 to 40? I didn't bother updating to V35 because unrooting for an update that is rumored to be buggy didn't seem worthwhile, but I'd like to know if v40 adds something interesting enough

For some reason, I can't install busybox from TWRP. Whenever I try the ADB sideload trick, it doesn't work. I've tried during the "Starting [...]" phase (which seemingly doesn't never stops starting) every second for a dozen seconds, because it didn't work when I canceled quickly. No matter...

Oh, I didn't know the OTA files were accessible before install, I'll do it next time. For now I'll do the twrp way, which I didn't know could be done without flashing it either. Thanks for these useful pieces of info :)

Is there a (relatively) simple way to get the clean boot.img of the V07 update so I could patch magisk on it?

Did just that, had no luck yet. Most of the stores in my area hardly sell any USB-C cable, so those who do don't have much choices to offer :/

Hey guys! Just noticed this problem myself when my phone fell and bent my connector. Luckily, I was able to bend it back to its original state, but it makes me worry for the day when it gets lost or broken irremediably. Did anyone find a workaround for this?

Doesn't work. It gives a vague path related error on default system/bin and system/xbin install path, and says system-less root wasn't done when I try su/* paths. Apps that need root work correctly, except parts that need busybox binaries
