I had the same Google verification problems. I ended up formatting the tablet back to factory defaults, setting up the the tablet without registering a Google account, then running the unlocking APK, first thing. (First thing after enabling "allow unknown sources" - referring to 3rd party APKs...

What's there to fumble? The "underside" of a microusb plug has two prongs, just feel with your finger as you're putting it in, if you feel bumps on your index finger, shove it in the phone (assuming screen facing you). Else, flip it over and shove it in. But I myself will get a wireless cradle...

Works (I guess?, I mean I get a reading) on Galaxy Note 3 (SM-900W8). I have some chargers on MicroUSB charging at 400-450mAh, while using a USB3.0 charger charges at 1200mAh.
