If the previous 4.5 version worked for any of you, good news! This developer's website features the latest Exynos release for GCam among other things. Currently they're at GCam 4.7 test. Since he features many ROMs I'm not sure whether you need root or not, or even which Samsung phones work...

Do I need to do anything special? I am also on Note 9 Pie but the app instantly crashes every time. I can't get to any screen at all, it doesn't even show a splash screen. I have other GCam ports but they're cloned, perhaps that's the issue, do you think? Or is this for the Note 8 and S8 family...

No matter what settings I tweak I never manage to get an actual image. In my Note 9 Exynos Stock One UI it looks like it only takes a screenshot of the viewfinder instead of an actual photo. Could you please provide all the settings you tweaked on your phone? It doesn't need root does it? Or...

You mentioned a ROM so I assume you're rooted. Maybe that's the issue? As the app is really buggy even with the official release. Either way, I hope a more stable Port comes along soon :)

It is very buggy, it sort of works. In any conditions brighter than ideal you will get overexposed pictures. Meaning if you, for example, are in town at night, you will more than likely get an overexposed photo because it's too bright. You have to enter the settings from the pictures provided...
